Used Sam4S 5215M Cash Registers

So we managed to buy 12 used cash registers from a customer that recently went bankrupt.  We have then in our warehouse and will need a few days to test them and clean them up a bit. All of them are Sam4S model 5215M which are designed for retail environment.

The new price was $620.00/each and we will likely sell them for around $350.00/each (depending on condition).  Here are some pix:

4 Additional Customers Using NCR Silver

Wow - so in the span of just a few days, 3 additional customer have signed up for NCR Silver through us.  The free trial period and our discounted promotional pricing is what helped close the sale.  The types of businesses are as follows:
  • Venue concessions stands
  • Multi-location fireworks stands
  • Multi-location holiday stands
You may also notice that these are all seasonal businesses - another great reason to use NCR Silver through me since I can turn your account "off and on" as needed so you are only paying for NCR Silver when you are actually using it!

I'll be sure to visit with these NCR Silver users in a few weeks to pass along any feedback that they have on the program as well as the whole installation and training process.

Micros mTablet and mStation

I normally only post news related to retail point of sale solutions but since I do work with a lot of restaurants, bars and concessions related business, here is an image of the new mTablet and mStation from Micros

Photo: It is a tablet kind of day - hot off the press from Micros is the new mTablet and mStation. More information as it becomes available - you can also watch a video overview here: http://mstation.micros.com/video

The press release came out just moments ago so I have no details on function, cost, etc.  About the only details available at this point are through a promotional video which you can view by clicking here: http://mstation.micros.com/video

It will be interesting to see how this Micro's solution compares against the other restaurant tablet-based solutions already on the market. One thing that I already like is that the tablet is purpose built for food service environments - too many of the existing solutions use iPads which are not tough enough for long term use in a food service environments.
