Want to help prevent cashier errors
that happen when the wrong tender type is selected? Make sure that
your point of sale system is set to only display the tender types
that you accept. Microsoft RMS Store Operations users can find the
settings under “database” and then “tender types” within RMS
Manager:
QuickBooks Point of Sale Pro users can
look under “Company Preferences” under the “File” menu:
If you have NCR CounterPoint, from the
manager screen go to “Setup”, then “POS”, then “Stores”,
then “Pay Codes” (may vary from system to system):
This is a simple setting that can help
prevent a cashier from selecting an incorrect tender type which can
create confusion and miss-rung sales.
