    • Blind Closeout
    • Returns at Different Store
  • Card Defender is now available for RMH
    • Only processor agnostic solution
    • No contracts
    • No per transaction fees
    • Only solution for RMH that works with TSYS and First Data (that I am aware of)
  • Focus on Stability versus adding Features and Functions

    • Task Pads
    • Reports change to what RMS offered

    • Customer feedback improvements
    • RMH Central Integration
  • RMH Central 1.0 Q3 2017
    • Replacement for Microsoft Dynamics RMS HQ
    • On premise or cloud versions
    • No more worksheets!
    • RESTful and WebSocket API's for near real time 2 way communications
    • Windows App and future web based application
    • Pricing to be determined
  • RMH Web Services
    • Light weight POS client
    • Use on mobile devices
    • Android and iOS support
    • Available via app store/pricing to be determined
  • Online Purchases of RMH and related hardware
    • RMH website will allow for online purchases (coming late summer 2017)
    • Sale still needs to be completed by a certified RMH Partner
  • More training and users guide documentation coming soon
Great to see the "roadmap" and successes specific to Retail Management Hero as well as RMH Central! I'm excited as this opens the door to Microsoft Dynamics RMS HQ users who would rather not invest in a new POS system and have to start from scratch with all their data (and training, setup, expenses, ect).

My personal advise specific to RMH Central is to wait until the program has stabilized before deploying - this likely means waiting until Q1 2018 (and I already have multiple retailers lined up to do this!).

Confused? Have questions? Need advice?  Contact me at 208-340-5632 or kevinantosh@gmail.com as I do work for a tier one Microsoft Dynamics Partner (RMS, HQ and Dynamics 365) who is also fully certified to sell, install, and support Retail Management Hero.

Full Trial Versions of Retail Management Hero & Cloud Retailer

Update 7/12/2017: Wow!  Many of you have taken advantage of both of these options!  This is not a limited time promo or anything like that. Right now its is taking 3-4 days the setup the free Cloud Retailer demo and around a week to setup the Retail Management Hero demo. Note that this is only for retailers in the US and Canada.

Whether you are looking to replace your Microsoft Dynamics RMS point of sale software or are searching for a new POS system for your retail store, I wanted to pass along some information on full trial versions of a couple of direct RMS replacement point of sale software programs for retailers in the US and Canada:

Retail Management Hero (discounted licensing for RMS users & competitive pricing for new users)
$549 for a 30 day version of Retail Management Hero. This includes basic installation on one computer as well as some general overview training.

Cloud Retailer (discounted licensing for RMS users & competitive pricing for new users)
Free test instance to try out Cloud Retailer. Installation and training depends on your specific circumstances

Note that both programs offer data migration from Microsoft RMS. This means that you are saving money via the discounted licensing for RMS users plus saving time by not having to start from scratch with a new POS system!

These are also great POS systems for retailers searching for a new point of sale system and are located in the US.

Please contact me directly at kevinantosh@gmail.com or 208-340-5632 for more information.

Retail Management Hero POS Users Guide

Quick note that Retail Realm has released a POS Users Guide for the Retail Management Hero software that covers many of the daily POS functions. This is a great guide for existing and potential Retail Management Hero users. Also helpful for retailers wanting to take advantage of the 30 day trial of Retail Management Hero to "test drive" a full version of the software.

The users guide can be found here: http://rmhpos.com//wp-content/uploads/rmh/RMH-POS-UserGuide.pdf

You can also contact me at kevinantosh@gmail.com or 208-340-5632 if you would like the users guide emailed to you or want more information on the 30 day trial version of Retail Management Hero.

Windows 10 Update Coming - Be Ready

A quick heads up that another Windows 10 update will be rolling out to Windows 10 users. As it's not know how well the update will play with various point of sale programs, there are a few things that you can do to prepare for the update:

  1. Ensure that your data is being backed up daily
  2. Don't let any of your point of sale computers update during business hours
  3. Ensure that a restore point is created before any updates are applied
  4. Make sure that you have the installation CD's/downloads and license keys for your point of sale software
If you run in to issues or have questions, please contact me at 208-340-5632 or kevinantosh@gmail.com - we have 10.5 technicians now - if I can't help you then I can create a support ticket for a tech to assist you.

  • Jasons Wine: Opened an additional location using Microsoft RMS
  • Casa Unlimited: Replacing Microsoft Dynamics RMS/HQ with Cloud Retailer and Card Defender in all of their old/new retail stores.
Looking forward to working with all of you over the coming months and the coming years!

Microsoft Dynamics RMS Replacements: Retail Management Hero and Cloud Retailer

So, I had originally made the video below to help paint stores determine which retail point of sale program might be better for their business but realized that the video is also a good overview showing how to determine whether Retail Management Hero or Cloud Retailer is a better replacement point of sale program for the Microsoft Dynamics RMS software.

Here is the video:

As always, contact me at kevinantosh@gmail.com or 208-340-5632 with any retail point of sale related questions.
